School is Fucking Hard

Period.

True Confession

I'm getting the evil eye from my fellow library studiers.  I'm studying with a friend in the library and we are talking.  Karma is a bitch.  (See yesterday's post - Irritations)

Irritations

When people use clearly marked quiet areas in the library for group study. When I look at a math equation that I have done a hundred times successfully, and I can't make heads or tails of it. When the cafeteria runs out of gluten-free, no-bake cookies  and I am in want of a sugar high.

Dead Week

Whooot, I want to write again!  For the first time in a long time, I woke up early this morning with multiple ideas tumbling through my brain of things I want to write.  Unfortunately, I'm in the middle of dead week and so I'm up to my eyeballs in finals.  No time to write now, but the feeling is sweet and I hadn't realized I missed it.      It seems an odd statement given I am just finishing up a creative non fiction writing class.  I have loved this class and this teacher and these classmates.  Ending a semester is bittersweet for those tentative friendships that will most likely not last into the future without the structure of common homework goals, and joint efforts of figuring out the logistics of a syllabus/testing/teacher expectations of a particular class.  And trust me, no two classes/syllabus/testing/teacher expectations are the same.  It's a war zone out there folks.  Survival goes to the fittest, ...

Radio Podcast: MLP Tarot Deck

Image
My guest on 3/27/16 was Gabe who, at the ripe old age of 20, decided to try to paint.  And while he was at it, decided to make a Tarot deck using the MLP characters.  Impressive.  For those of us not in The Know, like myself, MLP is My Little Pony-fourth generation.  You can check out his art on the show's Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/AllThingsWooWoo/    Podcast 3/27/2016 http://woowoo.no-ip.org   You can also catch my show live  every Sunday from 5-7 pm Idaho, Mountain Time Zone.   You can stream it from any computer with internet at https://universitypulse.com

My first radio talk show podcast!

Image
Where to start?  One day I'm posting flyers on campus for the Women's Spirit Drum Circle (the Boise State University organization I started last fall).  I look over, and there is a flyer that catches my eye.  It has that energetic glow, when Spirit is trying to get my attention and say, "Here's the next step".  I read the flyer and said out loud, "You have got to be kidding me!"      Fast forward a couple of months, and I have gone through the training period.  I am now producing my own radio talk show on BSU student radio, University Pulse.  It's called All Things Woo Woo, and I love it more than I could ever have imagined.  I can honestly say that never once in my life, have I ever had even a fleeting thought of, "Gee, I'd like to have my own radio show some day."  Never once.  This is what happens when we follow our intuition, even though it seems like the craziest idea EVER.      So, h...
