This cassette tape contains a piece of my soul: An adventure with the Aura Lady

My best friend Cheryl was a devout Mormon, as was I.  Nothing and no one could have dissuaded me from my conviction, and my friendships reflected the same.  You may notice the past tense reference in my conviction statement.  This story comes from my early life when these beliefs were truer than true and paramount above all. 

"Let's go see the Aura Lady!"  She was so enthusiastic, I felt embarrassed that I didn't know what an Aura Lady was.  Should I know this?  I think I'd heard the word "aura" before, but it was vague and no real definition materialized as I tried desperately to keep up with the conversation.  I decided to come clean and asked, "What's an Aura Lady?"

Cheryl giggled and said, "she reads your aura."

"Um" I ventured, "What's an aura?"

"You know, it has colors and some people can see them and they can tell you what they mean."

Baffled silence from me.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, was my first introduction to the human energy system.  I laugh about it now because my life's work and passion revolves around said system.  But back then, it was a confusing mystery.  And more importantly than that, it was a dangerous, confusing mystery.  Had my bestie not been the one to recommend it, that sort of activity would have been clearly defined as "off limits" to Jesus loving, obedient, Mormon women.  Never once had I heard the word "aura" in Sunday school and that should have been my big red stop sign right then and there.  But as fate would have it, off we went to see the Aura Lady. 

I got to tag along for Cheryl's appointment.  I sat in stunned silence as I watched the - would you call it a conversation? - between Cheryl and Malia.  It turns out that the Aura Lady had a normal name and in fact, she looked normal too.  Her office looked normal and, well, it was all pretty normal which was simultaneously a relief and a disappointment.  I'm not sure what I was expecting but normal wasn't it.  As I looked from woman to woman during the exchange, it was one of those moments in life when reality bends a bit and without realizing it, I am now in a place where I will never see anything the same way again.  I don't even have the words for it.  Something happened to me that day that shifted my perception of how the world is.  There was no putting this genie back into the bottle.  

The rest is history, as they say.  I promptly made an appointment to get my own reading done.  This all happened in 1990.  I went on to take classes from Malia to learn how to "read auras."  Turns out, I'm very good at it and I have been doing it as a profession ever since.  In those days we would record the session on a cassette recorder and give the tape to the client afterwards.  After my own first auspicious reading with Malia, I left her office clutching that tape to my chest.  Amidst the onslaught of accusing voices in my head saying I was going against God and all I believed, there was one thing I knew for certain.  In reading my energy that day, she had tapped into something profoundly real and helpful.  That cassette tape contained a piece of my soul.

The gadget was brilliant!  Generally speaking, I'm not a gadget kind of person.  You know the type.  I'm even related to some that are the type, but that's just not me.  The other day my son (who is very much a gadget kind of guy) asked if we could visit a new store he had found that was chuck full of gadgetry of every make and model.  On our weekly excursions we each get to choose our outing locations and it was his turn.  This is what we do in healthy relationships, we compromise when needed.  Aisle after aisle we would Ooh and Ahh over... you guessed it, gadgets.  I get it.  I appreciate it.  But I have to muster up some strength to care about it.  Then one can only imagine my surprise when the discovery was made last summer...

Channel Source:  A group of beings consisting of Pleiadians, Arcturians, and Sirians.

Answer:  Wealth Consciousness is a term some use to describe an energy of wealth.  To be clear, we will speak specifically of financial wealth here.  Your collective understanding on the planet has become more aware of your ability to manifest anything.  Your understanding of this is, in general, in its infant stages.  Know that there is so much more about this subject to come.  For now, let us say that you are able to manifest financial wealth.  Some of you have tried this "technique" of manifesting and have become frustrated and have given up.  Might we say here that perhaps you have not been given all there is to know on the subject.  Do not be frustrated and do not give up.  You are fighting an uphill battle in some respects.  There are many forces conspiring to have you believe that you are not powerful co-creators with the Divine.  But in fact, you are.  Step one in understanding and enhancing this ability is to be aware of voices in your life that tell you otherwise.  Identify them and eliminate them from your day-to-day life.  Go deep within your heart and remember the truth about who you are and what you are capable of.  While you are in that process, we will say that the abundance and financial wealth consciousness is something you become.  An energy in which you live.  This is a higher frequency than many of you currently live in.  There are many good ways of raising one's frequency.  We will not go into that here but we say strongly to seek them out.  Apply them to your lives.  The rewards are great as you feel the joy of higher vibrations and the ease of calling to you whatever you desire.  This is the natural flow of a higher vibrational existence.  It is your birthright.  Claim it now.

Where two rooms collide: Thriving the April 8th eclipse

The world has been going through a huge transformation.  By that I mean, both the planet and everything on her.  This has been happening and building for a while, but today is a major shift day.  Energetically, I can pick up on the collective (combined human energy).  I don't have to tell you that there is a lot of fear, anger, and anxiety out there.  My spiritual guides feel it is a good idea for me to tap into it from time to time so I have an exact indication of what is happening with that energy.  It isn't pleasant, but it is helpful.

As an every healer and reader, I work with clients who are - on an individual lever - going through similar energies.  And so too, am I.  Today's tune-in reveals a very different energy.  It's actually been building for the last couple of days, but it's full-on intense now.  I have experienced every energy imaginable.  Or so I thought.  Today takes us to a whole other place.  If feels as if two rooms are colliding, superimposed.  What is the outcome?  Time will tell.  Personal decisions will tell. 

This shift is taking us (for those who chose it - it's always a personal choice) to a higher dimensional frequency.  More similar to Lemurian times, but even beyond that.  This emerging room is where our 6th chakra understanding opens to remind us that we are not separate.  We are the drop in the ocean, yes.  The parameters of that water drop allow us to be in this earth's lower vibrational density as a human; it's the "class" we signed up for to experience and learn.  And at the same time we are the ocean.  Once we fully embrace that truth it no longer occurs to us to harm another. 

Thriving this historic shift means going within and doing our healing work.  Spoiler Alert!  If you are a human, this means you.

Morning Meditation with a Fish: Work Boot Shopping gone astray... Or did it?

It all started yesterday when I was in Cabela's with my son who is searching for the perfect work boots.  He works in a plant nursery and with all of the rain and slush we have been getting lately, he's basically wading through muddy ponds all day.  Top of the list?  They must be waterproof.  It was the third store we had been to, with more to visit until we found the prize.  Work boots and stores like Cabela's are not my happy place.  No offense to the store - my Cabela's camping tent is the bomb!  It's just not a store that holds much interest for me.  Except for the fish, of course.  Oh, how I love the fish.

Writing from August 2018

Acronyms are tough for us dyslexic types, like myself.  Particularly the ones that leave a bad taste in my mouth; The ones I want to shy away from and never learn.  My mom was just diagnosed with ALS.  Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, to be exact.  I'm screwed when it comes to remembering how to say this one.  I don't want anything to do with it.  And yet, here we all are.

I have jumped in and lent my nursing skills, and my case management skills, and my teaching skills.  Grieving skills?  I have none.  Not healthy ones at any rate.  So, I chug along and do the doing.  And how about those emotions?  I've erupted in tears in the shower a few times, but that's about as fare as I have gotten. 

(Fast forward five and a half years later.  Mom passed away a few years ago.)

And now my beloved sister has inoperable cancer.  They say the chemo will get the job done.  We are all holding that hope high and higher.  I again lend a hand with my supportive nursing knowledge - rather outdated on the chemo front - but still, it's what I have to offer.  I am long distanced and confused.  Grief has found me again.  Am I any more equipped?  It does not seem so.

When is an addiction your helpful teacher? Flipping the script.

I was working with a client yesterday.  His desire to have an energy healing with me was to address his addiction to vaping.  He told me that he had wanted to stop for a long time and had, in fact, tried to do so many times but without success.  Now he was ready to get serious and he was asking me for help.

When I worked as a psychiatric nurse, I had the honor of knowing and helping patients with additions of all kinds.  I say "honor" because as it turned out, they became important teachers in my life.  When one has the privilege of stepping inside a privet life as I did as a nurse (now retired) and as I do as an energy healer, I consider it sacred ground.  There is nothing more vulnerable nor beautiful than when someone trusts you enough to allow you into their private struggles.  These experiences throughout the years have allowed me to help others, yes. But perhaps more importantly in regards to my own health and spiritual evolution, they gave me the opportunity to view the inner workings of an addition.  (Does anyone see what's coming next in this little story of mine?)  Yep, it all led me to see the addictive behaviors in my own life.  I never did hard drugs nor was I ever much interested in smoking or drinking, so it was quite easy for me to cling to the illusion that "I am not an addict!"  And yes, in time past, I had been quite righteous and condescending in my proclamation. 

The thing about addiction of any kind is that it is not sustainable.

in my opinion, all addictions are designed to do one thing - to numb out the uncomfortable emotions associated with past traumas.  That's it.  I see this from mild avoidance behaviors to full-out, hardcore addictions.  It is also my opinion that true healing only happens when we allow those emotions to flow and be felt.  Not only that, but our higher self/soul, our Guides and Spirit Helpers, and The Divine all conspire to help us to heal.  They do this because they love us and because before we were born we asked them to help us move through the inevitable difficulties of an earth life.  I believe all of the goodness in the Universe supports us to feel our emotions.  All of them.  And so, addictions are not sustainable because healing requires us to feel the very emotions that the addiction is numbing out.  That is why a larger and larger "dose" is required to keep those feelings at bay.

What if we shifted our perspective on the addiction story?  What if, instead of seeing it as a great evil that must be eradicated, we see it as an important journey.

1. What am I learning here?

2. Why would I have signed up for this particular earth-life class?

3. What is left undone/unknown in this learning before I can graduate from this class?

The healing yesterday was powerful and deep and included such things as his heart chakra (loving oneself) and his throat chakra (speaking one's truth).  At the end of it all, there was a message that I delivered.  It was the the drug Nicotine.  It said to the client, "I came into your life when you asked me to come because you needed me then for specific reasons, which I fulfilled.  Do not hate me.  Rather, think of me with love, as we have been in partnership all of these years.  You have outgrown me as a teacher and I am ready to move on.  Please think back on me with kindness."

Falseness: Tapping into the universal human ability to discern

We are in an unprecedented time in human history.  It is a true paradigm shift.  While this is exciting because of all of the wonderful changes that it is bringing, it is of course, also terrifying.  We may not like the old systems, but they are the old systems we have always known.  There is a murky comfort in that.

I've had a life long relationship with Snake, but didn't really realize it until I was in my late 50s.  My first recollection of an interaction with a snake was when I was about ten years old.  Our family had gone backpacking for a week in the wilderness of central California.  No, I don't remember where exactly but in the 1960s there was more of that kind of land near our home in Sunnyvale.  My parents were brave.  I was the oldest of four and I can't even imagine the logistics of taking on that kind of endeavor with a pack of very young kids.  But my dad was an outdoorsman and so hauling us all off to the backcountry was second nature to him.

Susan Fullmer is a conscious channel, shamanic practitioner, energy healer, energy reader (psychic), teacher, mentor, group facilitator, nurse, and licensed massage therapist.  She has been in private practice since 1990 with her business, Intuitive Explorations with Susan Fullmer.  She draws from decades of study and practice in the healing arts including 35 years of nursing (both medical and mental health) and massage therapy (with extensive study in energy medicine). 

Susan has a plethora of experience in group facilitation, public speaking, mentorship, and teaching classes and workshops.  In 2019 she graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with certificates in Leadership and Human Relations, and Dispute Resolution.
